Sustainable Development

The term Sustainable Development was defined in the 1980s by the OECD as "development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs". In 2015, the UN created the 2030 Agenda consisting of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) based on 5 pillars, known as the 5P.
